This is classic stride piano. It is very difficult to play as I have mentioned before. It is on the other hand a very good training to rubato free style piano playing. In the video you regrettably don't see clearly how right hand fifth finger plays the melody.
To lys på et bord
This is a well known Danish pop song. You are not supposed to play it. It demonstrates a very important point in rubato free style playing and that is : Less is better. Look and hear in the video how I play only one melody note and nothing else in the end of each phrase. In this way the melody comes out clear and the rhythm is supported.
Put your head on my shoulder
I don't play foreplays but to this song it is very good - so there is an exception to every rule.
The playing is straightforward. A little hint : You have many times in the endings Eb - Cm (first time in ba - by,). It is play as block cords. Normally you should shift pedal going from Eb to Cm but not here - you press the pedal at Eb and hold it down all the way through Cm. This is something you can hear you shall do with training. Again you may ask : How do I know when to play block cords and not arpeggio cords? The answer is : It comes naturally by training and if does not there is nothing I can do about it.
